This RF Modulator allowed me to add our Wii to our main TV along with the DVD player. It also has an output section that I was able to connect to my stereo. It includes inputs on the front which will be wonderful for attaching the camcorder to view on TV. This was exactly what I was looking for but could not find in stores, even in electronic stores. If you need to attach more than one device to your older TV, this is what you need!
I had purchased an RF modulator in the past for about $15.00 that didn't work with my DVD player but did work well for my parents. When I went to purchase another one, I was willing to spend a little more and this was a great purchase! It works with my DVD stereo system, XBOX, etc. and I have finally been able to utilize my surround sound. The automatic switching is a time saver and makes the product that much better! I would suggest this product if you are looking for quality and value.
When looking at RF modulators, it only took me 10 seconds to decide that this was the one I wanted. Almost all of the other brands were more expensive with nowhere near the features of this one. Many of them had just a single input. With the Phillips, not only can you connect jsut about any component you can think of, the unit automatically switches to the output that is currently active when you have multiple components hooked up to it. If there is one downside to this unit it would be the fact that it has suction cups on the bottom of it to secure it to the surface it sits on. Not a horrible idea, but when trying to remove it, you best be sure to release each one individually by prying one edge up to release the suction, for if you dont, the cups will pull off of the base. Overall, this is an outstanding product; And props to Walmart for their quick and efficient "Site to Store" system.
I purchased this rather than purchasing a selector and RF modulator separately and have to say I've been very impressed with it's quality. I've had no problems with it and found the automatic selector to be very easy and convenient (it switches to the input that is turned on automatically). I'd recommend this to anyone looking for such a device.
I have used this item and recommended it to several people. Its automatic switching feature is excellent. However this product cannot process 1080 i or p type resolution. I would make recommendations for those looking for selectors to do 1080. But not on this review. Goodluck
Very good product, a must for connecting Audio/Video products to a TV with only a coaxial cable connection. My old analog TV is working great and is connected to a cable box; however, I was unable to connect my DVD Player because it does not have a coaxial lead. The Switchbox With RF Modulator was the solution.
